Kidz B Kidz Art Parties and Young Entrepreneurs Program

The heart and soul of Kidz b Kidz are our “art parties”, which are held in hospitals, schools, community centers or other public venues. These art parties are organized by Kidz B Kidz staff and our older volunteer kids, know as the Kidz b Kidz “Young Entrepreneurs”. These middle and high school students have an opportunity to talk to the young participants of the art parties about Kidz b Kidz, show them a video of a child who has spent time recovering at a hospital, and then watch them as they contribute their best art work, with the knowledge that it will be used to help raise money for children who are sick. Their creativity and originality continually astound us!

• Art Parties. These are held at schools, hospitals or community centers and can be organized by KbK staff or older children as part of the Young Entrepreneurs Program. At these parties, kids dive into the art supplies and create their best work. They also learn about what happens to their drawing once it leaves their hands, and how their creation ultimately helps children who are sick. Our hope is to leave a strong impression on them, and inspire them to come up with their own ideas or ways to do something good in the world, now or in the future.

• Young Entrepreneurs Program: For middle and high school students, we want to take it one step further. Our Young Entrepreneurs Program enables older kids to run their own Art Party within their school or an elementary school in their town. Not only are these teens and tweens building leadership and entrepreneurial skills working with younger children (who look up to these older “cooler” kids), they also get to experience first-hand how their input into a community program can really change a child’s life.  With our guidance, our young entrepreneurs plan and organize every aspect of their Kidz b Kidz Art Party, through to the end, where they sell products and send a check to the organizations we support.
